A Special Announcement
My Memoir, The Mind Is Burning: Losing My Father to a Cult and Dementia, is Out Now
I’ve been hibernating for all the right reasons, and I couldn’t be more happy to tell you all why now.
My memoir, detailing my life raised inside a controversial religious cult in Northern California, and the tenuous years that followed when I got out, is available now as an audiobook from Simon & Schuster.
The memoir tells the story not only of my time with Franklin Jones, but the years I spent seeking to reconcile the estranged relationship between myself and my father, which became further complicated when he became sick with dementia, and I became responsible for his care.
I will be sharing all kinds of background and personal detail about the book here in the weeks and months to come, so stay tuned.
This was a hectic and inspiring week, that found me in SF and LA talking to Alexis Madrigal of KQED’s Forum
